Song of the month ☆ Fire - Pointer Sisters

Welcome to my little corner

Hi doll! You can find lots of stuff here from my interests to web resources, stimulating media/asmr, nostalgic movies and games.

This site is my cyber love letter to similar dolls — I made this lil baby for 3 main reasons.

bullet

Number one — my nervous system goes into full shut down when it comes to talking to most people close to me. I am neurodivergent and I understand some people will never understand me, so sharing feels like asking for a slap in the face. But here, I can share my thoughts with myself unbridled and to the dolls that pass through.

bullet

Number two — I've been off Instagram for sooo long. Like, it's just for judging, commercialism, and consumption. It's dead. And I want to try and create a beautiful place where we swap Tumblrs, not Instagram — and we reply to each other not because we're dick-riding each other's posts senselessly, but because we have things in common.

bullet

AND THRIDD — simply put, we all deserve the best thrift hacks, we all deserve to have product authenticity knowledge that is purposely withheld. Even the tiny acts like reading a diary — a simple act of connection can make you feel less alone, or even taking the tips I give you to make your own safe space or community. Everyone deserves a space <3

Check out the movie theater, my diary, sign my guestbook if you'd like, or just hang around! Love ya.

Thrift tips

Hey dollies this is gonna be a 3 part thrift guide, with literally everything you need to become a thrift master. Ily thanks for coming by!

I'm having so much fun doing this and I really hope I can give you information for a lifetime!

Where are you going?

Ok dolls, the first question you gotta ask is where you're going. Each thrift store is known for different stuff so you gotta make sure you pick the right place.

Goodwill - perfect for fast fashion, really old stuff and old electronics like Wii and DS games

Value Village - perfect for 2000s clothes; my go-to for t-shirts and shoes because you can switch tags really easily

Salvation Army - perfect for 2000s jackets and pants

Park Ave Thrift - perfect for cheap shoes and big deals

American Thrift - perfect for clean deadstock straight from warehouse

Any outlet thrift like Goodwill bins - perfect for extremely rare things like VS Pink, Juicy Couture, and dirt cheap shoes

Where you're going also applies for area — be warned AREA DOES AFFECT QUALITY & INVENTORY!

  • Honestly the dirtier and more disorganized the thrift, the higher the likelihood of you finding some fye stuff

Ex: if you go to a white rich neighborhood, you're going to find Jordache jeans, Polo, Guess

  • If you go to a Hispanic neighborhood, you're more likely to find decorative jeans, cool t-shirts, Apple Bottom, Baby Phat
  • If you go to a middle-class thrift, you're more likely to find VS Pink, Gap, No Boundaries, SO

This also applies to the region you live in. I live in the South, so the clothes here are always what I'm looking for. Thrifts like VV and SA don't send things across states; they just have multiple sorting plants. Outlet stores buy clothes wholesale overseas, so you have a better chance at finding rare stuff.

What are we looking for?

  • Let's be fr, there's been multiple times where I've seen people at the thrift that really just need to go to the mall. Like I said up there, if you dress more modern, Goodwill is gonna be your best friend, but if you're alternative, Y2FAY, or any kinda cool style, this is for you.

WHAT SUBCULTURES YOU FIND ARE BASED ON STATE AND AREA!! I cannot stress this enough

  • Living in Cali and NY is like living in a goth thrift capital. Same with Vegas and Arizona. You can regularly find NYC Tripp, Skelanimals, Demonia because of the culture.
  • Living in the South, it's VERY glam stuff: decorative men's jeans, vintage leggings, mini shorts, tank tops, baby tees. Be smart and realistic about what you're looking for.
  • It's the same case with shoes. If you're going to a local thrift, it depends on your area. In the South, bigger sizes are harder to find locally.

Where are you looking?

  • A common mistake is looking in the wrong sections. Many times older employees mix up sections. Gap, Guess, SO, Roxy often end up in the kids' section.
  • You gotta be unafraid to rifle through the kids section — that's where the gems are.
  • Express and Juicy end up in the women's section, but for goth, playful, or colorful brands, the kids section is gold.

Ok dolls that's all (hehe). Check out my VS size guide or creep around. Luv ya mwah!
